California Early History
California Early History includes four unique sections focused on Californians of Native American, Mexican, African and Asian descent in an effort to help students understand the people and cultures involved in California's history which led to the development of the State of California are more important than simply memorizing the dates of events.
New vocabulary words are introduced at the beginning of each section and students are expected to look them up in a dictionary and write a brief definition, which should then be reviewed and discussed by teachers and at home instructors to aid students in the understanding and retention of the words and their meanings.
Lessons are reinforced with maps, exercises, review questions and bonus activities. The Bonus Activities are included at the end of each section and require the student(s) to use addtional research and resources to complete.
California Early History is 90 pages, classroom reproducible and recommended for grades 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th.
California Missions (History) Workbook
The Best Book Ever About California Missions history is a comprehensive workbook covering the history of the California Missions, written in an easy-to-use format. The first section of the book includes background information, with maps, questions, and research activities. The background information section is followed by a section on the history of each individual mission, which introduce 'new words to learn', and when used in the order written each section builds on the previous section.
Included with each individual mission section is a map of the mission chain, new words to learn by looking them up in a dictionary, a diagram of the mission compound which is student labeled, a fact sheet about the mission, and information about 'The Mission Today'. Some individual mission sections also include a crossword, word search, or other puzzle relating to the section.
The Best Book Ever About California Missions is classroom reproducible, contains over 200 pages of information and activities and is recommended for grades 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th.

This full-color laminated poster is a great addition to any classroom or homeschool setting and is highly recommended, though not required, for those using Golden Educational Center's 'The Best Ever Book About California Missions'.
